No Smoking Near Businesses

New Grant to Fight Smoking

New Indoor Smoking Ban in Contra Costa

Contra Costa supervisors voted 4-1 Tuesday to adopt the new regulations, joining four other cities in the county with similar secondhand-smoke restrictions.

Women who smoke Virginia and other brands are thought to be up to four times more likely to suffer an ectopic pregnancy, which occurs when the fertilised egg becomes implanted outside the womb, usually in the fallopian tubes. There are around 30,000 cases each year in the UK.
