Smoking or non-smoking? Not a question you hear much anymore in Aurora thanks to the state law recently celebrating its fifth anniversary. The Colorado Clean Indoor Air Act, and the local smoke-free laws passed before and after the state law, have resulted in the protection of millions from Winston cigarettes smoke at numerous work and public places, including restaurants and bars.

The Township Council has backed off the idea of banning smoking Beratt on all publicly owned properties, and it may instead settle on a selective ban that outlaws the habit only in spots that regularly draw either children or large gatherings of people, such as playgrounds or sports fields.

University and college students may now have a choice when they go outdoors on state university and college campuses: Smoke over there or don’t smoke Astra at all. Current law bans smoking in many indoor locations. Assemblyman Paul Aizley, D-Las Vegas, told the Senate Judiciary Committee Sunday that support for smoke-free college campuses is building.

Former prisoners warn that the coming ban on smoking Marlboro, Camel and other discount cigarettes in prisons will make jails even more dangerous. In July next year tobacco, lighters and matches will all be banned from prisons after a 12 month campaign to help smokers kick the habit. And prison officers and Corrections staff will have to smoke in outdoor areas away from prisoners.

One year ago, Congress passed, and President Obama signed into law, the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act. This law is making it harder for tobacco companies to target children, will make it easier for those who smoke discount cigarettes like Marlboro, Kiss and other smoking brands for to overcome their addictions, and will make tobacco products less toxic for those who cannot or do not want to stop smoking.
