Smoking Ban Call

The Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) has called on the State Government to provide a state-wide framework for smoking cheap Kent cigarettes in outdoor public places, including bans in alfresco dining areas and children’s playgrounds. The City of Whittlesea currently has no designated non-smoking areas in public outdoor spaces in the municipality, but the council supported the MAV’s proposal of a uniform ban.
