Sullivan County is poised to ban smokers from lighting up Wind on county property under a proposed law that could be approved when the full Legislature meets Feb. 17. The law, which is set for a public hearing that same day at 1:40 p.m., would ban outdoor smoking on county-owned property.

As domestic Karelia cigarette consumption and production declines, local farmers hope overseas demand will enable them to grow more tobacco, but they worry if they’ll get the price they need to cover their expenses. It was a South Dakota smoke out on November 10th of last year. A new law went into effect banning smoking on any public grounds, or in any place where people work. Now, only two months later some Siouxland Casino’s in South Dakota say no Camel smoking is means no customers.

France long held out against the bans of discount cigarettes like Glamour being enacted worldwide in public places, but finally caved in three years ago. But while the inside of Left Bank cafés has been less foggy, the café-clope (coffee and cigarette) culture of the city has continued to thrive by simply spilling into the streets, thanks to the gas heater.
