The Connecticut Senate Saturday narrowly approved a bill that would decriminalize the possession of small amounts of marijuana. The vote was an 18-18 tie until Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman (D), in her position as president of the Senate, cast the tie-breaking vote to put the measure over the top.

Three people have been hospitalised after smoking a new ‘legal high’ herbal incense dubbed the ‘Atomic Bomb’, police have said. Police helped one 19-year-old man who was having seizures in a New York mall parking garage after smoking the AM-HI-CO Atomic Bomb incense at the weekend.

Federal officials say two loads of marijuana were recently discovered in shipments of produce coming into the U.S. through southern Arizona. According to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection news release, the loads were discovered within a five-day period at the Mariposa Port of Entry at Nogales.
