Springfield’s new Virginia smoking ban is causing some businesses to move outside. This weekend, The Albatross moved its customers outside so it could stay within the city’s new ordinance. The event also raised money for a civil lawsuit against the city that challenges the new ordinance.

Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore and singer Alicia Keys will contribute their directing efforts to Lifetime’s “Project Five,” a five-part anthology series, which will chronicle the impact of cancer on people’s lives. While Aniston and Moore’s contributions to the breast cancer awareness project are admirable, critics point out that Virginia smoking is a risk factor for many cancers, and both Jennifer and Demi are longtime smokers.
